Nextgen is well known for their high-quality professional slot machine games and Owl Eyes certainly does look the part. Owl Eyes is a five reel slot machine with four main rows and a massive fifty paylines. The game is a slightly older instalment by Nextgen but it still seems to reel in the punters with its bold colours and immersive gameplay which aims to make you feel as if you are trekking through a mystical forest and are being watched by dozens of mysterious owls. The one word we would use to describe this game is eerie but not in a bad way.

You can play on free mode to get used to the game first and then you can place bets from just a penny all the way up to a substantial £100. It offers good variation as some players will have larger budgets than others. This allows everyone to enjoy the game while still gambling for real money which is, of course, more exciting than playing with demo credits.

The design is simple with a sparkling blue magical forest making up the background and the reels themselves consisting of a range of symbols including funky letters and numbers for the lower value symbols and a range of animals including badgers and a number of mushrooms making up the higher value symbols. We can’t fault the artwork – it is superb!

Owl Eyes backs up its already brilliant design with some cool bonus features that will keep even the most experienced player entertained for hours. These are triggered with various bonus symbols with the first being the main wild symbol. You can’t miss it as it’s represented by the big owl face with orange eyes. The first main feature involves accumulating free spins by landing the full moon scatter symbol anywhere on the reels with five free spins the reward

Verdict

This is an oldie but a goody. It lacks 3D animations but the graphics and theme are fantastic and we simply can’t fault it. Definitely recommended for any slot player seeking a new adventure.
